If you're not familiar with TeacherLists.com it's a great online resource for managing individual or district-wide supply lists. Plus, they've just announced that they will be giving away free classroom supplies to teachers who refer other educators and help spread the word.  Here is the full press release for more information:

Wrentham, MA (September 26, 2013) – The need for school supplies in the classroom does not end after the back-to-school rush, especially for seasonal items like antibacterial wipes and tissues. Communicating these needs to parents and ensuring that supplies are replenished can be a time-consuming process however.

TeacherLists.com, the largest and fastest-growing free online service for posting and sharing school supply lists and teacher wish lists with parents, changes the antiquated process of asking for supplies and is now offering a new program to help fulfill educators’ needs for supplies – The Tell-a-Teacher referral program. This program rewards both the referring and referred teachers with free school supplies for posting lists to TeacherLists.com.

The Tell-a-Teacher referral program helps educators earn free supplies quickly and easily. Just ask Penny Woods, former teacher and current Penniless Teacher blogger and family school volunteer. Woods created TeachersList.com accounts for approximately 30 teachers at Tropical Elementary School in Merritt Island, FL and earned 75 tier one rewards and 15 tier two rewards for teachers at the school.

“When you are teaching, it is hard to find the time to try new technology, even if using it will make life easier in the long run,” said Woods. “After I set up the accounts for the teachers, I showed them how to add supplies to their lists.

They now update their own lists as their needs change throughout the year all while earning free supplies for their classrooms. All they needed was someone to get them started.”

Participation in the Tell-a-Teacher program is as easy as using TeacherLists.com. Educators simply go to the Tell-a-Teacher landing page and click the Get Started button. Under the “Invite Teachers” tab, educators can send a unique message and link to friends and colleagues.

When one referred educator clicks the shared link and posts a list, the referring teacher gets a point and both teachers receive Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes. If five referred teachers post lists, the referring teacher will receive a pair of Westcott® 8" Titanium Bonded Non-Stick Scissors in addition to the Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes. These supplies are subject to change throughout the year, but all prizes rewarded are materials needed in the classroom.

“Being an educator is a hard-enough job as it is, so teachers should not have to worry about stocking a whole classroom with supplies year-round,” said Tim Sullivan, founder of TeacherLists.com. “We make sharing information about classroom supply needs with parents seamless and we have the added bonus of sponsors who give back to education in the way of free supplies.”

TeacherLists.com already boasts – by far – the largest database available of current school supply and teacher wish lists, with lists from more than 325,000 classrooms and more than 20,000 schools (from all 50 states) live on the site.

The site is taking an annual chore for every parent – finding those lists and getting the supplies their children need – and making it easier for all.

The TeacherLists.com site is free to all users and made possible by the generous support of brands – Elmer’s glue, Wet Ones® Antibacterial Hand Wipes, Dixie®, Westcott® Scissors, Kleenex® Brand tissues, Mead® and Five Star® – that see great value in supporting educators and schools.
