The NEA Foundation Funds Girls Thinking Global’s New Data Visualization Tool

The new tool creates an online global community among organizations serving girls and young women

(Cambridge, MA) November 17, 2016 – Just in time for International Education Week, and with the support of a grant from The NEA Foundation, Girls Thinking Global (GTG) has launched its GTG Collaborative Visualization Tool, an online community of practice.  The GTG Visualization Tool is an interactive global data mapping of hundreds of organizations that support the education, health, well-being, and success of young women and girls globally.

​Users can select a country or service area and see a list of organizations serving that geographic location, as well as the services they provide and their websites. Currently, the Visualization Tool includes information for 286 organizations.

Reading Horizons Webcast Will Help Educators Identify and Support Students with Dyslexia

​resources that address the most common learning disability

(Salt Lake City, UT) November 14, 2016 — Reading Horizons, a multisensory curriculum used to rapidly increase reading skills, today announced its upcoming webcast, Dyslexia: What Every Educator Should Know.
The webcast will take place on Wednesday, November 30 at 6:00 p.m. ET and will be hosted by Donell Pons, M.Ed., MAT.

Pons is currently the Literacy Coordinator at American International School of Utah, sits on the board of Decoding Dyslexia Utah, and is a tutor at the University of Utah Reading Clinic. She became a dyslexia expert and advocate after her husband and two of her four children were diagnosed with the learning disability.
