RoboKind Chosen as a 2018 Red Herring Top 100 North America Winner

The Dallas-based maker of educational robots and curriculum was chosen among 1,200 applicants as an innovative technology company

RoboKind announced today that it has been selected as awinner of Red Herring's 2018 Top 100 North America award, a prestigious list honoring the continent’s most exciting and innovative private technology companies.


RoboKind is a Dallas-based company whose mission is to create cost-effective and inclusive education for all. Working with experts in the autism community and school systems around the world, RoboKind has developed two robots, Milo and Jett, along with the accompanying 
robots4autism and robots4STEM curricula, to give children opportunities to realize their potential and pursue their passions for all things tech-related.


The winners of the Red Herring Award have been chosen from thousands of entrants, and judged by industry experts, insiders, and journalists on a wide variety of criteria including financial performance, innovation, business strategy, and market penetration. Winners ran the gamut of verticals, from fintech and marketing to security, IoT, and many more. 

“We are extremely humbled and honored to be named a winner of the Red Herring Awards,” said Richard Margolin, the chief technology officer and founder of RoboKind. “There are thousands of companies out there trying to accomplish their goals and help others, and it is rewarding to be recognized for the hard work and impact we are making with students across the globe. Red Herring’s editors have been evaluating the world’s startups and tech companies for more than two decades. It gives them the ability to see through the industry’s hype, to pick firms that will continue on a trajectory to success. Brands such as Alibaba, Google, Kakao, Skype, Spotify, Twitter, and YouTube have all been singled out in Red Herring’s storied history. 

“2018’s crop of Top 100 winners has been among our most intriguing yet,” said Alex Vieux, the chairman of Red Herring. “North America has led the way in tech for so many years, and to see such unique, pioneering entrepreneurs and companies here in California, which is in many ways the heartland of the industry, has been a thrilling experience.

Following RoboKind’s Top 100 win, it is invited to showcase itself at the Top 100 Global event in October. Red Herring is dedicated to supporting RoboKind’s continued path to success and innovation.
