SAN FRANCISCO, August 28, 2014 -- Remind, the secure mobile communication product for teachers, students and parents, today announced a new version of the product (4.2). More than 1 million teachers in the United States currently use Remind to connect with more than 17 million students and parents in an effort to increase levels of connection in and outside the classroom.

The new version introduces Stamps to increase level of engagement by allowing real-time feedback on messages.

With Stamps, teachers can send questions or quizzes, track attendance for trips or gather votes to engage their class. Students and parents can also add ‘stars’ to messages that they like or find useful. Class members simply choose one of four Stamps to provide feedback on each message, and Remind summarizes these responses instantly. The teacher can check the detailed Stamps summary later or watch as they arrive in real-time while in class.

The vision of Remind is to connect every teacher, student and parent in the world to improve education. Using a teacher-centric approach, Remind aims to make communication simpler and more efficient among teachers, students and parents around the world -- leveraging the power of connection to make education better.

“We’ve continued to listen closely to feedback from teachers that use Remind daily in classrooms all over the country. While they’ve seen value in broadcast messaging, our teachers have also reminded us that communication is a two-way street. Remind exists to make it safe and easy for teachers to connect with students and parents -- we think Stamps will provide teachers with the real-time feedback they need to make communication with their classes simpler and more engaging,” said Brett Kopf, co-founder and CEO of Remind.

Growth Stats
  • Now, over 1 million teachers use Remind to safely connect with more than 17 million students and parents
  • Daily signups are now approximately 365,000 users per day
  • Remind is the  #1 app in the education categories on iOS and Google Play

Teacher Feedback

“There is no other program--including those I use daily for managing my grades, managing and producing documents and spreadsheets, or managing attendance--that is this usable. At a time when educators are under extreme pressure, this app practically reads my mind,” said Beverly Marrs, Science Teacher, Carlsbad High School in Carlsbad, New Mexico.

“I implore every educator to take advantage of Remind. This simple tool prevents five or six problems--before they even occur--and allows us more time to actually teach,” said Nick Ferroni, U.S. History teacher, Union High School in Union, New Jersey.
