MILWAUKEE (December 3, 2014) – Epiphany LearningTM, the first personalized learning software application that utilizes student directed feedback to create Learner ProfilesTM, allowing teachers to generate customized, dynamic Learning PathsTM and Skills PathsTM for each student, launched today.

BETA tested and curriculum agnostic, Epiphany Learning is a powerful web-based tool featuring the unique ability to bring technology, data and personalized learning together to empower learners and make personalized learning a reality for every classroom.

As the world’s most innovative personalized learning app, Epiphany Learning is the brainchild of its Founder and CEO, Laura Henderson whose experience as a successful leader of a global technology business, the wife of a special education teacher, and a mother of five inspired her to develop a web-based tool that provides a new, personalized approach to learning which benefits teachers and students alike.

“Our goal was to create a tool that bridges the gap between technology and education while giving learners voice and choice,” states Henderson. “The result is Epiphany Learning, a relevant tool that’s powerful for learners and useful for teachers.”

Epiphany Learning is the most comprehensive personalized learning focused education app to date. It gathers each learner’s perspective and supporting information, centralizes lesson plans, incorporates (any) curriculum, provides intelligent, bi-directional data, and increases communication between students, teachers and parents/guardians to make personalized learning a reality in K-12 classrooms. As outlined in Epiphany Learning’s personalized learning app infographic, the process is simple:

1. Every student has a different learning style (Auditory, Kinesthetic, or Visual), so Epiphany Learning begins by creating a student directed Learner Profile for each student. Doing so helps students identify strengths and struggles, sets SMART goals, and helps teachers maximize student performance.

2. The completed Learner Profile helps teachers and students develop customized, dynamic Learning Paths and Skills Paths. In addition to assignment due dates, milestones and the ability to upload completed assignments and projects – with the option to link to Common Core Standards – these Paths focus on personal awareness (the cause and effect of learning habits), invite students to provide teachers with feedback, and are directly linked to SMART goals.

3. An actively growing database, Epiphany Learning provides valuable information about each student’s learning experience over time – providing pertinent feedback and making it simple for teachers and/or parents/guardians to transfer student files as they advance in grade levels.

4. The result: A partnership of inspired teachers, happy parents/guardians and enlightened learners who become lifelong learners.

Progressive with personalized learning strategies, Wisconsin’s Verona Area School District is partnering with Epiphany Learning in its development of personalized learning plans. “Personalized learning was recently recognized by the CEO of the International Association for K-12 Online Learning [iNACOL] as the number one trend driving the future of education. Our district will have full implementation of personalized learning plans by the 2016-2017 school year,” states Betty Wottreng, director of technology services at Verona Area School District. “With the help of Epiphany Learning we are able to leverage the power of technology to make personalized learning a reality, and in doing so support our staff to achieve this transformational change. A change that the Verona Area School District firmly believes will make every student successful.”

Highly customizable, easy to use and PC, tablet and mobile-friendly, Epiphany Learning is free for the first six months and $12.99/month after or $8.99/month per teacher when paid annually (there are opportunities for teachers to continue use without charge).
