Most Affordable and Complete Mobile Education Broadband™ Solution

MCLEAN, Virginia--August 28, 2017--Kajeet®, the industry leader for safe, mobile student Internet connectivity, announces today the expansion of its partnerships to connect students on all four major U.S. 4G LTE wireless networks. Doubling the networks school districts can choose to connect students – from two to four wireless carriers – Kajeet can now serve more students across the nation than any other wireless provider, just in time for the new school year. Wherever there is coverage on these wireless networks, students can connect to the Internet with Kajeet Education Broadband™.

“Having doubled our national carrier partnerships allows Kajeet to connect even more students in all areas of the country – rural, urban, and suburban – helping our nation move closer to closing the Homework Gap,” said Kajeet CEO and Founder, Daniel Neal. “By giving school districts four great network choices, something unique to Kajeet, school technology leaders can select the provider (or providers) with the best coverage at the most affordable price point so all students can get their homework done. It is a great time for school districts to close this gap and focus on connecting students to success.”

Since the launch of Kajeet Education Broadband, students have connected online, for educational purposes only, to complete over five million homework hours. Our CIPA-compliant, educational filters and policy controls ensure students access only appropriate content. The innovative Kajeet Sentinel® cloud portal analyzes and categorizes millions of new URLs every day to filter out both inappropriate and non-educational content. Sentinel currently denies access to 128 million non-educational website requests each and every month, thereby keeping students on task, doing their homework. In addition, Sentinel connects, manages, and controls any – or all four – of the wireless networks on one centralized portal, a service unlike any other.

During the 2016-2017 school year alone, students spent 2.5 million hours online working on educational assignments with the Kajeet SmartSpot® and SmartBus™ solutions. The SmartSpot is a portable Wi-Fi hotspot that safely connects on-the-go students and those without access at home. The SmartBus is a portable or installed Wi-Fi router that extends the classroom to the school bus. Students can take advantage of their travel time and turn it into educational time. Currently, 400 school districts across 41 states and the District of Columbia connect with the Kajeet Education Broadband solution. With the Kajeet solution available on four national wireless carriers, students in more areas around the country can connect to Education Broadband.

In addition to expanding our carrier partnerships and overall coverage, Kajeet has improved its Education Broadband plans, making it even easier and more affordable for schools and districts to connect their students. Each plan comes with the Kajeet industry-leading, K-12 specific filters, mobile policy controls, data controls, reporting, and expert program management and support. Customers choose the plan that best suits their needs on any (or all) of the four of the national networks.
