(MCLEAN, VA)--April 2, 2018--Kajeet®, the industry leader for safe, mobile student Internet connectivity, today announces its work with Google to power its Rolling Study Halls program,  which includes filtered, district-managed Wi-Fi on school buses deployed in 12 states this year.

As part of this Google-sponsored program to transform the school bus into an extension of the classroom, students receive take-home devices, educational Wi-Fi access on the school bus, and a dedicated instructor on the school bus. Google selected the Kajeet SmartBus™ solution to connect students to reliable Internet with its CIPA-compliant Kajeet Education Broadband™ solution.

As a leader in school bus Wi-Fi, this is a new milestone for Kajeet which currently partners with 127 school bus fleets in 34 states to connect student riders to educational Wi-Fi on the bus. Additionally, Kajeet partners with over 400 school districts that provide students Internet at home with Kajeet SmartSpot® devices to help close the Homework Gap and level the playing field for all students.

Since launching in 2015, the Kajeet SmartBus connects students on any of the four major U.S.  wireless networks. In addition, the new SmartBus with Dual Connect™ feature allows school districts to connect up to any two wireless networks to provide consistent and reliable connectivity for students. The most recent addition to SmartBus is the new Global Positioning System (GPS), which helps transportation staff pinpoint the school bus location and ensure safe driving speeds when transporting students.

“Kajeet is thrilled to have reached this major milestone, and we are very excited to be part of initiatives to help transform more communities around the country,” said CEO and Founder of Kajeet, Daniel Neal. “As the mobile broadband expert for the Google Rolling Study Halls, Kajeet continues to extend the classroom and provide students additional time connecting to educational Internet.”

In addition to supporting Rolling Study Halls with wireless services, participating school districts will be able to manage student data and filters through
Kajeet Sentinel®. This innovative cloud service provides administrators with actionable insights into how students use Kajeet Education Broadband and which websites and other Internet resources they access through robust reporting and analytics.
