Ideas Roadshow just added the first series of 25 innovative pedagogical modules to both the Academic Portal and High School Portal. Both portals present a quickly-expanding collection of tailor-made resources for faculty/students and teachers/students (650+ for each portal) and the modules allow for a maximally user-friendly entry into Ideas Roadshow's platform of fully-integrated resources.

The modules provide a spectrum of expert views on specific topics in short, manageable video clips together with a series of targeted, pedagogical questions to stimulate students while testing basic comprehension of the module's contents. Each module has its own brief Instructor's Guide associated with it to enable educators to quickly assess its suitability for their classrooms.

The resources can be used to enrich traditional courseware, as part of a flipped classroom/blended learning model, and for self-directed learning and discovery by students. Both portals present a multidisciplinary platform that students can explore by themselves to get inspired and exposed to important perspectives on contemporary research culture that they simply cannot find anywhere else.

All resources are explicitly designed to encourage critical thinking by offering unique insights into the motivations and research of world-leading experts which will expose students to (often interdisciplinary) perspectives about the world of academic research that they simply cannot get anywhere else. In addition - for high school students - the resources offer a unique opportunity to connect students with academic content that bridges the gap between school and university.

Below are a few endorsements from leading educators:

“... a remarkable range of interesting and topical subjects, but not the sort of thing usually put in print in more formal settings. This is exactly what students really need to hear!” - Sir Anthony Leggett, Professor of Physics, University of Illinois, and 2003 Nobel Laureate in Physics

"There is nothing quite like it that I know of. The intellectual content is very high from all I have seen - this is a wonderful resource both for student use in courses and for long term archival purposes.'' - Josiah Ober, Tsakopoulos-Kounalakis Professor in Honor of Constantine Mitsotakis in Political Science and Classics at Stanford University
