Edgenuity Wins Four Education Software Review Awards

Edgenuity, one of the leading providers of online and blended learning, today announced that it is the recipient of the 18th Annual Education Software Review (EDDIE) Award in four categories. In addition, Edgenuity’s Common Core ELA 6-8 and Common Core ELA 11 courses were recognized as being the most thoroughly aligned to the Common Core standards among all of the EDDIE winners. 

Scottsdale, AZ – October 22, 2013 – Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, today announced that it is the recipient of the 18th Annual Education Software Review (EDDIE) Award in four categories.  Presented by The ComputED Gazette, an online educational resource, Edgenuity’s courses won EDDIEs in:
  • Middle School Language Arts: Common Core ELA 6-8
  • High School Language Arts: Common Core ELA 11
  • High School Biology: Biology
  • High School U.S. History: Survey of U.S. History

Edgenuity’s Common Core ELA 6-8 and Common Core ELA 11 courses were also recognized as being the most thoroughly aligned to the Common Core standards among all of the EDDIE winners.  

Edgenuity’s Common Core ELA courses were built to meet the demands of the Common Core State Standards with new instruction, interactive learning tools, readings, assignments, and multimedia resources.  

Courses include a significant proportion of literary nonfiction, close reading to draw evidence from text, reading with adequate range and complexity, and argumentative and explanatory writing.
