Edgenuity to Host Education Innovator Discussion at SXSWedu 2014, Offering “Why Did I Have to Fail to Learn Online” Panel to 4,000+ Attendees

Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions, has today announced that it will lead a panel on education innovation at SXSWedu 2014, being held March 3-6 in Austin, Texas. Chosen from a highly competitive group of over 700 presentation submissions, the panel, “Why Did I Have to Fail to Learn Online?”  will spotlight the untapped potential of online and blended learning.

Scottsdale, AZ – February 18, 2014 – Edgenuity, a leading provider of online and blended learning solutions for grades 6-12, will lead a panel on education innovation at SXSWedu 2014, being held March 3-6 in Austin, Texas.  Chosen from a highly competitive group of over 700 presentation submissions, the panel, “Why Did I Have to Fail to Learn Online?,” will spotlight the untapped potential of online and blended learning, encouraging educators to learn more about how these solutions can engage and empower students by offering a personalized learning experience.  

Edgenuity CEO Sari Factor will host the discussion, joined by forward thinking district leaders eager to share the transformative techniques they are using in their schools to help all students succeed, despite a diverse range of needs.  Panelists include:  

  • Aaryn Schmuhl, Assistant Superintendent for Learning and Leadership at Henry County Schools in Henry County, Georgia, who will share how Locust Grove Middle School has integrated blended learning into an individualized, seminar-based experience and how Impact Academy is driving an alternative learning program through virtual and in-classroom coursework;  

  • James Coutee, Supervisor of Virtual Learning at eCampus Virtual School in Lafayette, Louisiana, who will explain how online alternatives can help students who haven’t flourished in a traditional school setting achieve their academic goals.
