Today, DecisionDesk announced a new partnership with LikeLive to launch "Answer with Webcam" which will provide universities with a new way to screen applicants via video submissions. The tool lowers application and recruitment costs while significantly strengthening the application assessment process, saving reviewers time and resources, giving applicants a true voice and combating cheating.

Cleveland, Ohio, February 18, 2014 – DecisionDesk, a leading provider of cloud-based application management solutions, today announced a partnership with LikeLive to offer “Answer With Webcam.” An asynchronous interviewing tool, “Answer with Webcam” allows universities to screen applicants via video submissions, lowering recruitment costs and significantly strengthening their application assessment process. For the first time, institutions will have access to a truly holistic view of candidates, from application, to supplements, to a spontaneous interview.

By offering a powerful new tool to college recruiters and reviewers, “Answer With Webcam” efficiently automates the pre-screening and language assessment portion of student applications. Candidates are presented with one or more pre-formatted, randomized questions to which they provide a spontaneous, recorded response. The resulting video is embedded in the student’s online application, serving as a permanent record of his or her language skills, presentation, and demeanor.

“In an era of dwindling resources, financially strapped colleges and universities continue to seek ways to avoid admissions mistakes, improve yield, and to ensure a better student fit,” said DecisionDesk CEO, John Knific. “Our partnership with LikeLive provides admissions offices of all sizes both global reach and comprehensive student assessment, while dramatically decreasing the cost of in-person interviews.”

LikeLive CEO Bill Barnett notes, “We have partnered with DecisionDesk to offer a cohesive and cost-effective way for University and College reviewers to evaluate applicants. ‘Answer with Webcam’ democratizes the higher education application process by allowing any applicant, regardless of location, to connect with institutions of higher education worldwide.”

“Answer With Webcam” will be immediately available to existing clients of DecisionDesk. New clients will be able to license the product as a stand-alone solution, or as an additional module within the larger suite of DecisionDesk application management solutions.
