Curio Learning, a collaborative digital platform designed specifically for educators at every grade level, recently unveiled its web app for teachers, Curio Learning. In December 2018, Curio was awarded grand prize in the highly coveted Uber Pitch Girl Boss pitch competition, edging out over 2,500 female-founded companies and concepts across multiple verticals.

As grand prize recipient, Curio received extensive funding and mentorship opportunities to develop and launch its innovative new app that seamlessly connects teachers with every skill set as they build both online ideas and community on a global scale.

Founded by 2016 Kentucky Teacher of the Year, Ashley Lamb-Sinclair, Curio celebrates teachers for what they are: educational experts. The interactive app delivers an online forum where educators can curate, search, and share dynamic instructional tools and multimedia resources. A lifelong learner and rebel, Ashley crafted Curio to resonate with passionate teachers who go beyond mandated curriculum requirements, striving to motivate, encourage, and inspire their students.

"Curio Learning equips and empowers educators across all specialties to teach like a rebel and unleash their unique style to connect with learners at every age and with every ability. Most importantly, Curio is designed specifically to resonate with digital natives who require a different classroom experience than previous student generations. Our newly launched platform gathers the very latest online materials created by real teachers, promoting expert-to-expert engagement for accelerated access to high-impact learning tools, tips, and ideas."

The new app uses digital Cards & Stacks to organize a diverse range of curated resources including videos, articles, lessons, images, documents, and graphics. Teachers log into their user account to create new cards, run searches, and share materials with other educators within the Curio network. The company also has a designated "Rebel Squad" of super users comprised of Teacher of the Year recipients and other influencers in education from across the country who lead social media engagement, content curation, and product development to optimize the Curio experience. Anna Baldwin, a 20-year teaching veteran, Rebel Squad member, and 2014 Montana Teacher of the Year believes that Curio is a game changer for educators.

"Teachers can spend countless hours doing online searches to gather ideas for their classroom. Curio cuts out that extra step, saving invaluable time with every lesson. Curio allows users to curate and share a wide range of materials in real-time for instant access to inspiration."
