(Chicago, IL) March 18, 2019 – CDI Technologies (formerly CDI Computer Dealers) announced today it was awarded an expanded contract with the Alabama Department of Education allowing it to offer more products and services to Alabama school districts.

This expanded agreement through the state’s Alabama K-12 Joint Purchasing (ALJP) program allows schools to purchase CDI’s classroom-ready technology including recertified devices and charging carts, as well as technologies from its partners including Acer, ASUS, Newline and Google.

CDI provides schools with best-in-class products and services to support classroom-ready tech initiatives and 1:1 programs. It currently provides solutions to 84 percent of the state’s school districts – impacting over 500,000 students –through the ALJP. With this contract, CDI will be able to sell its expanding line of partners’ technologies and services to Alabama districts in addition to its own equipment and services.

The ALJP program helps connect school districts with vendors for IT equipment and services. CDI has been a participating ALJP vendor for 10 years. Under the expanded contract which officially starts in July 2019, CDI is also offering the following products and brands:
  • CDI Recertified Notebooks and PCs
  • CDI Charging Carts and Cabinets
  • Acer (Chrome and Chrome-compete devices)
  • Chromebook, Windows and iOS parts
  • ASUS (Chrome and Chrome-compete devices)
  • GoGuardian software
  • Google (Chrome management licensing and VR/AR Kits)
  • Higher Ground mobile device cases
  • Newline Interactive Flat Panel Displays

“During the nearly 11 years that we’ve been working in Alabama, the technology needs of schools and districts have evolved,” said Andrew Frustaci, CDI’s EdTech Success Manager for Alabama. “CDI has also evolved during this time and we understand the types of technologies school districts need to support the 21st Century classroom. The expanded contract with ALJP provides an opportunity for us to offer comprehensive technology solutions to schools and districts in Alabama.”
