file embed compatibility, and Presentation Mode
Educators and Administrators can apply for the grant here: https://www.bulbapp.com/fetc2017
Launching just in time for FETC, new features will allow students to embed document files such as PDFs and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files for the first time. A tightened permissions system will give students control over who can view and comment on their content as well as an enhanced presentation mode experience.
At FETC, one of the largest annual ed tech conferences in the country, bulb is supporting educators who transform their learning by offering one lucky winner an open $500 grant for digital tools. The company will also be giving away a handful of semester-long licenses to bulb Pro for Teachers, a premium offering that provides teachers with features and storage space to better manage portfolios for all their classes and students.
Attendees can enter to win the grant at bulb’s booth (#2523) on the main show floor. Once entered, educators do not need to return to the booth to win.
Well-known author and ed tech speaker Monica Burns (from Classtechtips.com) will be at the bulb booth, delivering mini-sessions on building beautiful, content-rich portfolios. Teachers can also check out bulb’s other new features, including full integration with Google Drive and a new direct and targeted commenting system that lets teachers provide students with the feedback they need.
“The bulb team is dedicated to serving educators who are passionate about the transformation of learning through the use of digital tools,” said Eric Goldreyer, the CEO and co-founder of bulb. “Our intuitive, easy-to-use digital portfolio platform empowers schools to capture and harness the amazing power of digital learning and showcase students’ work for their teachers, peers, families, and the wider learning opportunities that await them.”
After students graduate, bulb allows them to take their portfolios with them to share their work as they enter college or careers. Teachers can also use bulb to showcase professional development with peers or to upload lessons and demos to share with students.
