GoGuardian offers a suite of software designed to help make management of Chromebooks in schools easier. Regardless of your role in a school system, GoGuardian has an option that will help you track data, understand student behavior, manage devices, and so much more.  We’ve got four separate reviews for each of the four platforms, and you can get an overview of each (and link to the full review) below:

GoGuardian Teacher

Picture
GoGuardian Teacher is designed to allow teachers to get an instant and easy to understand idea of exactly what their students are up to while using their Chromebooks in class. Teachers can see what students are viewing on their screens, get a look at all the tabs they have open, push out messages, force students on to a certain tab, and basically do anything you can think of that would make management of classroom Chromebooks easier.

GoGuardian Admin

Picture
GoGuardian Admin is an excellent and reasonably-priced solution for monitoring, filtering, and providing theft recovery solutions to schools that are using Google Chromebooks. You can get both big picture trends of what students are doing online and also granular data on how each individual student in a school or district is spending their time.  You can manage filters, track devices, and do a whole lot more.

GoGuardian Fleet

GoGuardian Fleet is meant to be used at the district level to help IT staff manage devices, track repairs, and roll-out devices to students across the district.  The tool isn’t used to monitor activity, but instead used to monitor inventory so that the IT department can easily track where all their devices are and what condition they’re in.

GoGuardian Director

Finally, GoGuardian Director is a free tool designed to give districts an idea of what software and applications are being used on Chromebooks in the districts.  You can get a quick usage report across all devices in order to determine what’s being used and what teachers and students aren’t utilizing as much.  This insight can be incredibly helpful in determine which applications are perceived as being useful and, especially in quantifying the value of purchased software.
