![]() ClassHub is a new application from the folks at Squirrels. If you’re familiar with their product Reflector, ClassHub has some overlap, but takes things to a whole new level in terms of student device management. Overall, ClassHub is a classroom device management application that allows teachers to see student screens, push content and messages to students, lock student devices into specific apps, and initiate screen sharing. ![]() Happy Numbers is a web application designed to supplement pK-5 math curriculum. The resource can be used on any web-enabled device and can be implemented in both 1:1 environments and classrooms that have occasional computer lab use. It’s an excellent supplemental resource, offers an enormous variety of activities, and is great for small group instruction. While not a free app, they do offer a 30-day trial and have a wide variety of activities available for free that you can explore. Let’s take a look! ![]() Explorable Places is a free web app that is designed to help K-12 teachers find field trips. The resource is currently available for use in NYC, but the team will be expanding to other cities in the future. For those teachers living in NYC, it’s an excellent resource for finding curricular-aligned field trips within your neighborhood and across the city. And for those destinations that have partnered with Explorable Places you can even book your trip from right within the app. Let’s take a look! ![]()
Curly Bracket: the Hidden Code is a graphic novel for 3rd - 8th grade students that is designed to help teach computational thinking. It is set in a dystopian future, where the Corporatus corporation controls humanity, and you have to master the Codeseum computer game in order to succeed and gain some form of freedom within their system. It’s an excellent resource for students, and a lot of fun for students.
