Shape the Village is a new application from WiseKids that aims to teach toddlers about circles, triangles and squares. The app is incredibly intuitive and well-designed for kids 5 and younger. Animoby is a new, free app that turns your iPad into a digital whiteboard that you can use to create and send out lessons to your students. It has an incredibly simple interface and great potential for creating flipped lessons. Animoby also comes in a Pro version (for $7.99) which we'll cover too. For now, let's talk about the basics! Shadow Puppet is an excellent, new free app for iOS devices that lets students narrate photo slideshows and create a digital story. It's incredibly simple to use and has a lot of potential in education. It would be a great app for any grade level (elementary and secondary) and could be used in a ton of different subjects as well. Let's check it out! eFaqt is a new, free service that aims to help students with their studying and note-taking. The site basically acts a digital companion where students can record and organize notes, and create flashcards to help themselves study. It's a great resource, so, let's check it out! If you've tried out Class Dojo, you'll no doubt notice some similarities between their service and the new Class Charts. However, Class Charts takes what Dojo does and makes some impressive improvements, including the addition of seating charts. In short, Class Charts is a free service to help you record and analyze classroom behavior. Let's check it out! |
