mysimpleshow is a completely free resource that is designed to help students and teachers quickly create engaging presentations.  With so many presentations still relying on traditional PowerPoint styles, it’s always wonderful to see alternative options, especially when those options are free, well-designed, and offer lots of options for customization.  Read more on our Review's Page.

Thank you for for sharing mysimpleshow! It sounds like a great tool for students to use to help them put their information together into a fun presentation. I really like how mysimpleshow breaks it up into simple steps for students to follow. I have used the book creator app in the past with my students which is nice too but I love to have different options for students to use! Great Tool! Thanks for posting this awesome resource!

Lauren,
I really agree with you that it is so important to use tools that break instructions down into steps for our students. Based on my experience, I know that we cannot expect that our students all know how to use technology to the same extent. Though I find that many of my students are very good at learning new technological tools, some do not have the experience and require more scaffolding. In an age where technology is on the rise, we still need to take into account that not all students always have access to a computer. With this in mind, our job as teachers is to make sure that the necessary scaffolding is in place to make technology usable for all of our students. Part of this means choosing tools that are user friendly and take the time to break the steps down into pieces. For this reason, I really agree with you that integrating the mysimpleshow tool into our teaching can be extremely useful. Not only does it seem simple to use, but it also seems very engaging! It is great that both teachers and students can use it as a tool for presenting. Regarding the book creator app that you mentioned, what exactly does that do? Is it another tool to create presentations? The reason I ask is because like you, I am always looking for new technology based tools for my students to utilize. Specifically, tools that provide students with new and exciting ways to present information are very intriguing to me. I am definitely looking to move beyond traditional presentations with slides and into something more progressive and engaging. Thank you again for your post.

Thank you very much for sharing this resource! I have seen these types of videos before, but had no idea that it was so simple to make them. This sounds like a great tool for both teachers and students to use as a way to mix things up! I find that students sometimes find simple presentations with slides or posters to be boring to create because they have grown so accustomed to them. This seems like a great way to get them engaged, coney their thoughts clearly, and have fun learning a new tool in the process. I have been looking for an alternative to more traditional presentations and this has definitely caught my attention. The best part is that it seems so user friendly so that anyone can learn how to use it. I'll definitely start thinking about how I can use this in my classroom. Thanks again!
