Author: Rachelle Dene Poth Towards the end of this past school year, I noticed that student motivation was decreasing, and participation in classroom activities was not as it had been throughout the year. It was a busy time of year, with testing, sports, and other activities which kept students busy. BookWidgets is an excellent service for teachers and curriculum developers that allows you to create a ton of different types of interactive content to assign to your students. It’s easy to share the content you create with students in a variety of formats, and you can also get detailed analytics on student performance. You can read the complete review here on our Review's Page. QuizPedia is an online quiz creation resource similar to Kahoot! and Quizizz, but with a few interesting differences as well. QuizPedia markets itself as being designed primarily for students to create quizzes (which is possible with other services as well), but what is unique to QuizPedia is their interface and unique features. Data collection and analysis are incredibly important STEM skills for students to become familiar with. These skills help students understand how to identify patterns, how to look for trends, and how to solve complex problems using support from data, all of which are necessary when preparing our students to be 21st century learners. Unfortunately, these skills are often overlooked, or touched on only briefly. Many times teachers can be understandably intimidated by these types of tasks, particularly at the elementary level if they don’t have a science background. This is where PASCO scientific comes in. They have developed a collection of easy to use, wireless data collection probes that come with K-12 curricular resources and support materials designed to make data collection and analysis tasks easier for classroom teachers to implement. Using TES Teach you can create interactive lessons with your own content as well as any content from the web.
