Part of every educator’s duty is to ensure that learners don’t have access to harmful or explicit material. For as long as the internet has been a part of K-12 education, web content filtering technology has seen use in public schools. In fact, it’s a legal requirement; the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) mandates that schools use content filtering technology in addition to enforcing an internet safety policy and monitoring student activity.

I agree with you article. Every school should always make sure that students never have access to sites that they should never see or even encounter. We as educators want them to ready, but not for that.

Thank you so much for sharing, yes web filtering is very important and so is having intelligent web filtering that enables students to make the most of the internet while still protecting content, we help schools achieve this every day.

That's a real need of the hour information. Malicious web contents are inappropriate for kids of any age group and they are also harmful in the perspective of psychology and mental health. As a parent, It is reassuring that our schools are also constantly upgrading their tech on getting rid of such nuisance.
