If you're looking for an interesting and thought-provoking read from the EdTech Leadership position, may I recommend the new post from Mike Daugherty over at More Than a Tech. The piece discusses how a push for online assessments may actually act as a catalyst for increasing and improving technology infrastructure in K-12 settings. Definitely worth reading, as is the rest of Mike's site!

Mike's article was definitely a thought provoking one. I'm learning that technology in the education environment can be quite the challenge at times. It's interesting that after the "dust settled" a bit on this mandate, that positive unanticipated outcomes resulted. What's particularly encouraging about this is the added infrastructure and updated perspective on the technical capabilities of the students that will have positive benefits on current initiatives already in place.
