In today’s digital learning environment, technology is a valuable tool to complement good instructional strategies. However, students still need to be taught how to use technology effectively and how to be good digital citizens. In addition to supporting teachers with their new devices, I help identify their technology needs, suggest resources, and facilitate implementation. When we select technology resources, we’re looking for tools that solve particular challenges we are facing. Specifically, we choose ones that support classroom learning, help manage time-consuming tasks, and promote collaboration and transparency. Continue reading on our Editorial Page.

I think even in the post-pandemic world, online classes are set to continue and become the new normal eventually. I teach IELTS online and the most disconnect that I feel during the sessions is when the student loses the attention span. This might simply be caused by a notification on their phone.

There has been a lot of disruption worldwide due to COVID-19. It has made mandatory for everyone to learn technology and leverage it for imparting education through the available online resources. A lot of collaboration is required amongst the teacher and students as now teachers are well within the watch of parents who judge the teachers based on their online instructions. As parents, we should grant the older generation teachers as they are not so tech savvy. But yes, this collaboration is required as you've described in your wonderful article.
