wePresent is a wireless presentation system which allows up to 64 unique users to collaborate and to give presentations from any laptop, netbook, tablet, or smartphone. For BYOD and 1:1 classrooms, wePresent is a great way to allow students to share their work and collaborate on activities. Dremel’s 3D Idea Builder is a 3D printer that has been designed with education in mind. For those unfamiliar, 3D printers have seen an increase in popularity, particularly with the spread of the Maker Movement, and they allow for 3D objects to be printed out of various forms of plastic. After testing is out, it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite design tools because of its simplicity and its great collection of templates and graphics. GatherEducation is a virtual, interactive learning platform that allows you to host or participate in online sessions from nearly anywhere with a wifi or cell signal. This platform enables teachers and students to interact remotely while mirroring the classroom environment and maintaining teaching styles. Check out our review page for more information! New and Upcoming edX Courses | Technology Learning Opportunities for Teachers and Students2/26/2016 For those not familiar, edX is a non-profit MOOC provider founded by Harvard and MIT. They offer free online courses from universities around the world and new ones get added every week including over 100 free computer science courses. They've got some excellent upcoming courses that could be great for students and teachers alike. Check them out below... Knomadix is a new suite of apps that are designed to help teachers and school districts easily digitize their already existing curriculum. Imagine a teacher being able to turn a traditional paper worksheet into an engaging digital activity, or a curriculum developer being able to convert all of an analog curriculum into a digital format. This kit is designed to help teach elementary students the basics of programming, robotics, and even STEM skills through hands-on, interactive methods.
